What construction features are documented?
The vessel is 316L stainless steel with a surface finish of Ra below 0.4 micron. The agitator is magnetically coupled, so no shaft seal penetrates the vessel. Maximum tip speed is 3 m/s for microbial and 1 m/s for cell cultures. Getinge also lists a modular design, open frame construction, a compact footprint, and a cGMP and GAMP design with documentation to support validation. Sparger options are porous, L-type or ring-type, with a water-cooled exhaust condenser.
